
Martin Lefebvre
Martinโs passion for ballroom dancing started at the age of 9. He relocated from Montreal to Calgary in 1999 and has been a strong advocate for developing the Dancesport business in Western Canada. He owned a studio in Calgary for 7 years and has coached various competitors to the Canadian National Finals and World Championships. Martin has also had dancers compete in SYTYCD Canada and several of his students are now professionals working in the industry. Also in charge of the dance program with Calalta Figure Skating club in Calgary. He is currently focusing on his program for elementary schools called โBallroom Classroomโ.

- 47 years of dance and teaching experience.
- National Dance Council of Canadaโs director for the past 8 years.
- Vancouver Challenge Cup and Sunday Funday co-organizer for the past 10 years.
- Been teaching โpartnering skillsโ using ballroom dancing at Capilano University and VanArt College for the Acting for Screen and Television and Musical Theatre programs for the past 15 years.

Katerina Michtchenko
Katerina has over 40 years of teaching and competing experience and is a Canadian Closed Champion in the Professional American Smooth, runner-up in the Latin-American Division, and competing in Standard Divisions. She is a 3-time Canadian Representative at the World Professional Latin and Showcase Championships and finalist of the World Professional Latin Showcase Championship. She is the Director and coach of the DanceSport group โFiesta DanceSport Club,โ which has produced Canadian Junior Latin and Youth 10-dance Champions. She teaches and coaches competitors and social dancers (kids, teenagers and seniors) in both Latin and Standard divisions.
Katerina also holds Canadian DanceSport Federation Adjudicators Licenses (A+,B+) with experience officiating DanceSport competitions in and out of Canada.

Sherry Tovell
Sherry has taught dance in Edmonton since 1990, starting at the Cook County Saloon during the country craze. She worked with the CBC National TV Show โCountry Beatโ, performed and provided backup dancers. She worked as a choreographer for two movies filmed in the Edmonton country nightclub โCook Countyโ.
She was a member of the United Country Western Dance Council providing International Dance Events, (River City Dance Festival-Edmonton) culminating in the Worlds Competition once a year. She was elected as President of this association and entered the Country Hall of Fame in 2006. She has attained certification as a Master Level Certified Judge in both Country Partner dancing and Line, as well as attending West Coast Swing Events, judging and teaching. She also attained World Champion awards in the Pro-Am Division with her amateur students.
Her studio โDance With Meโ started in Edmonton in 2003 and became a great place to learn not only Country dancing but Ballroom, Swing, Latin, Hip Hop, and Zumba dance. Having great success with their programs, they also added a Home School Students Program, promoting socialization and building confidence in each student. West Coast Swing University was started, producing a great Teachers’ Program and Social Dance Group.
Sherry is presently living outside of Edmonton but visits regularly to teach Country and West Coast Swing Competitive and Social dance.
